hé! is een jong Brussels, tweetalig architectuurbureau dat duurzame en eerlijke architectuur verkiest en hierbij gebruik maakt van zoveel mogelijk CO2 neutrale materialen en circulaire bouwsystemen. We zullen eerder renoveren dan bouwen, eerder inbreiden dan uitbreiden. We zullen bestaande ruimtes optimaliseren en de leefkwaliteit verbeteren zodat er geen nieuwe constructie meer nodig is.
We tonen aan dat bouwen met regeneratieve materialen (dit zijn materialen die een langere levensloop hebben: bio-gebaseerd, geo-gebaseerd of 2e, 3e, 4e…. hands materialen) & back-to-basic materialen niet enkel haar plaats vindt op het platteland maar ook in een stedelijke context.
Bij het aanvatten van een renovatieproject wordt steevast gestart met de inventarisatie van de kwaliteiten van het bestaande gebouw: niet alleen de waardevolle materialen maar ook de bestaande structuren, de natuurlijke lichtinval, de interne organisatie,.... wordt kritisch onderzocht.
Flexibiliteit, functionele omkeerbaarheid en demonteerbaarheid zijn eigenschappen van circulair bouwen die we systematisch implementeren. We hebben ervaring in het transformeren van het waardevolle Brussels patrimonium in gezonde energie-efficiënte gebouwen.

hé ! est un jeune bureau d'architecture bilingue basé à Bruxelles qui préfère une architecture durable et honnête, utilisant autant de matériaux neutres en CO2 et de systèmes de construction circulaires que possible. Nous rénovons plutôt que nous construisons, nous remplissons plutôt que nous agrandissons. Nous optimiserons les espaces existants et améliorerons la qualité de vie de manière à ce qu'aucune nouvelle construction ne soit nécessaire.
Nous montrerons que la construction avec des matériaux régénératifs (c'est-à-dire des matériaux qui ont un cycle de vie plus long : matériaux biosourcés, géosourcés ou de 2e, 3e, 4e.... mains) et des matériaux de retour à la base n'a pas seulement sa place à la campagne, mais aussi dans un contexte urbain.
Le lancement d'un projet de rénovation commence invariablement par un inventaire des qualités du bâtiment existant : non seulement les matériaux de valeur, mais aussi les structures existantes, la lumière naturelle, l'organisation interne,.... est examinée de manière critique.
La flexibilité, la réversibilité fonctionnelle et la démontabilité sont des caractéristiques de la construction circulaire que nous mettons systématiquement en œuvre. Nous avons de l'expérience dans la transformation du précieux patrimoine bruxellois en bâtiments sains et économes en énergie.

hé! is a young Brussels-based, bilingual architecture firm that prefers sustainable and honest architecture, using as many CO2 neutral materials and circular building systems as possible. We will renovate rather than build, compress rather than expand. We will optimize existing spaces and improve living quality so that no new construction is needed.
We will show that building with regenerative materials (these are materials that have a longer life cycle: bio-based, geo-based or 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... hands materials) & back-to-basic materials not only finds its place in the countryside but also in an urban context.
When embarking on a renovation project, it invariably starts with an inventory of the qualities of the existing building: not only the valuable materials but also the existing structures, natural light, internal organization,.... is critically examined.
Flexibility, functional reversibility and disassembly are features of circular building that we systematically implement. We have experience in transforming the valuable Brussels patrimony into healthy energy-efficient buildings.
